In loving memory of

Jason Clinton Fischer

Jason Clinton Fischer (46).

Jason was born in Phoenix, Arizona in March of 1971. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth, son Jacob Fischer, and daughter Jordan Fischer. Jason and Liz were true loving partners in life, their family and in his Ministry and in Elizabeth's medical profession. Jason and Elizabeth were married for 21 years.

Jason is also survived by his Mother, Linda Fischer; Father, John Fischer; Brother, Jared Fischer and Sister-in-law, Elisa Fischer, and their two sons Brody and Brent Fischer. He is also survived by his Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Doug and Janice Wells; Uncle and Aunt, John and Carole Collier and his three cousins, Garrett Collier and his wife Lisa and their two daughters, Elese and Emma; Lauren Guerin and her husband David (who live in Lyon, France); and Dr. Kim Collier; his Aunt, Marlene Frehafer and his cousin Clint Frehafer; and Sister-in-law Tammy Odom and her husband Chris; and his Step-Grandpa H.T. Traylor. He was preceded in death by his Mother-in-law Jean Wells; his Uncle, Dale Frehafer; and his Grandparents, Kenneth and Hazel Collier-Traylor. Jason is also survived by a large extended family on his Maternal Grandmother's side of the family (Hendricks), many Great-Aunts and Uncles and loads of second and third Cousins.

Jason has ministered to teenagers from the time he was at Manhattan Christian College until the present day; and he was a Youth Minister for most of his career. In his present pastoral duties Jason was totally involved with youth and college age young adults even though his responsibilities had expanded into additional areas. His heart was bigger than life and teens and young adults were always "his kids." There wasn't a time when he wouldn't offer a hand to anyone in need, opening their home to kids or families in need of a meal, a bed or a home.

Pastor Jason's smile and laughter were contagious and his spirit and legacy will continue to touch the lives of everyone he knew. Jason had joked occasionally, "he was getting too old for this"; but he truly loved his kids, treated each one as the special individual they were and respected their opinions. His first goal was always to bring them to the Lord, and second, to give them the tools to develop themselves into strong young men and women of God.

"We are so heartbroken for your loss. We have such wonderful memories of Fish. He came home with Brad from college and was part of our family. We always looked forward to visits with Fish. As kids, he made us feel special and important because he made time to do the fun things with us while he visited. He was a joy to be around. Fish was someone that made a lasting impression with everyone he met, and we definitely experienced that. Playing basketball outside, roller skating, watching my Grandma be so excited to cook Fish his favorite meals (and then tell him that he didn't have to protect his plate and that she would deal with anyone that touched his plate!), visiting your family in Arizona, Fish helping us with homework... these are all memories that we will keep and smile about. We were blessed to know him. We are praying for you and wishing we could be there with you to celebrate our brother Fish. Amanda and Marni"
