Joseph P. Millet
April 28, 1926 - March 10, 2020

Joseph Paul Millet, Sr., 93 of Ambler, died Monday, March 9, 2020, surrounded by his loving family in Abington Hospital- Jefferson Health.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late John and Mary (nee Kelley) Millet.

He served in the Navy from 1944 to 1946 as a Photographers' Mate Third Class receiving American Theater Ribbon and WWII Victory Medal.

Joseph was in sales leadership, employed by Ritz Camera in center city Philadelphia for 5 years, then by View-Master International for 29years, until his retirement in 1988..

Mr. Millet was a member of St. Anthony Of Padua Church, active in the St. Anthony's Grandfather Club, Men of Malvern, helped in Boy Scout Leadership and as an Instructor of Photography for 4-H. Above all else was his passion for family and home projects of woodworking and gardening.

He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years JoAnn P. Millet(nee Liederbach). He is the beloved father of Joseph P. Millet Jr. and his wife Terry of Lansdale, Steve M. Millet and his wife Cheryl of Spring City, Patti Milsop of Merion Station, David F. Millet of Ambler, and Kevin C. Millet and his wife Trisha of Barto. He is the cherished grandfather of 9 and great grandfather of 10. He is also survived by his brother Richard Millet of California and a dear friend of the family Susan Glover.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, October 24, 2020, from 9:30 to 10:15 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Church 259 Forest Ave. Ambler, PA. Words of Remembrance will begin at 10:15 AM followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM with Msgr. Stephen P. McHenry, Celebrant and Pastor. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
