In loving memory of

Robert J. Bustard
June 28, 1912 - December 13, 2011

Robert J. Bustard, age 99, died peacefully in his sleep at his home in Blackwood on December 13, 2011. He is now reunited with his beloved wife of 65 years Elizabeth (Ella) who passed away in December 2007.

Born in Donegal, Ireland, he was the last survivor in a family of 9 siblings. Devoted to his family, father of Joan Warren (Kenneth) of Runnemede, Valerie of Cherry Hill, Robert (Rosemary) of River Vale and William (Jean) of National Park. Proud grandfather of 7, great grandfather of 3, and great great grandfather of 1. Also survived by Ella's sisters Mary Quinley of Virginia Beach and Myrtle Moore (Bill) of Philadelphia. Dear uncle of numerous nephews and nieces in this country, Ireland and England. Lovingly cared for in his final years by Julia and Susan.

After coming to America in 1948, Bob worked in the dairy industry for 25 years. He and Ella enjoyed traveling. They visited many parts of the US and several foreign countries, frequently returning to Ireland to spend time with family there. Active members of the First Presbyterian Church of Gloucester City and the First Presbyterian Church of Blackwood for many years, they made many friends there. Pastor Mike Atzert was a welcome visitor to their home, bringing communion when they were unable to attend services.

Bob bowled in a league until age 92. He was the family historian and with his remarkable memory, often entertained family and friends with amusing stories of growing up in his large family so many years ago.

There will be visitation with the family from 11am to 12 noon Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church of Blackwood, 21 E. Church St., Blackwood, NJ 08012. Funeral Service 12 noon in the church.

Interment immediately following at the Presbyterian Cemetery, which is adjacent to the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations in Bob's memory to the First Presbyterian Church of Blackwood Restoration Fund at the above address.
