Joseph J. DeMaio
August 14, 1921 - October 17, 2014

Joseph J. DeMaio, on October 17, 2014, of Runnemede. Age 93.


Devoted Husband of 59 years to the late Nellie (nee Gizauskas.) Loving father of Marc and wife Elizabeth, Janice DeMaio Gilbert and husband the late Gregory, and Patricia Thomson and husband Ron.


Beloved grandfather of 6 and great grandfather of 4. Dear brother of Andrew DeMaio, the late Amiel, Maryann DeMaio, and Terry Vacarro.


Mr. DeMaio spent 4 years in the Army, during WWII, stationed in England. He was employed by GMAC as a senior adjuster until 1985.


Joe loved tennis, fishing, the casinos, traveling with his wife Nellie, and "The Gang." Joe also volunteered his time to the Thursday crew at Boy Scout's Camp Roosevelt.


There will be a viewing Thursday evening from 5 to 7pm, at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE. 126 S. Black Horse Pike Runnemede, NJ 08078. Funeral service will be at 7pm at the funeral home. Interment private at the request of the family.
