September 5, 1934 - September 11, 2013
Bernice Ott (nee Wachter), affectionately known as Nanny, age 79, of Bellmawr, went home on September 11, 2013 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Nan leaves us with the most amazing memories.
Predeceased by son Gary, she is the adored and cherished mother of Kenny Ott (Wendy), Sherrie Wood (Gary), Barbra Iannotti (Roger), Kathleen Bradian (Peter) and Robbie Ott (Lisa). She is the loving Nan of 16 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind 2 brothers Jim Wachter (Jane) and Jack Wachter, who was the most dedicated caregiver and made the best cup of coffee, as well as her best friend and furry companion Gizmo.
Bernice worked for the Superintendent of Elections in Camden and retired after 27 years of service. She was also active with the Bellmawr Seniors Club and a member of St. Joachim's Parish. There wasn't a beach she didn't like.
There will be a viewing from 8 to 9:45am Saturday morning at St. Joachim's Parish, Annunciation BVM Church, 601 W. Browning Rd., Bellmawr, NJ 08031.
Funeral Mass 10am in church.
Interment private.
Family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made in Bernice's memory to the American Cancer Society, 1851 Old Cuthbert Rd., Cherry Hill, NJ 08034 or to St. Jude Children's Research, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
