Michael A. Curran, Jr.
January 26, 1925 - May 13, 2013

Michael A. Curran, Jr. "Mr. Mike", on May 13, 2013, of Runnemede. Age 88.


Beloved husband of the late Helen (nee Hillebreck) and the late Rita (nee Ryan). Loving father of Patrick Curran, Sr and his wife Kathy and the late Michael Curran. Brother of Margaret Holly (the late Joseph) and her eight loving children and their families. Grandfather of Mary and Patrick Curran, Jr. Also survived by his caretaker Liz Beehler, many friends, all the members of the VFW, nieces and nephews.


Mr. Mike was a past Post Commander of Runnemede VFW Post 3324, as well as a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was an Army vet of WWII, Private First Class, Battery A 15th Field Artillery Battalion as a cannoneer. He served in Normandy, Northern France and the European Theater and also served with Gen. George Patton.


There will be a viewing from 7 to 9pm Thursday eve and 8:15 to 9:15am Friday morning at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE.


Funeral Mass 10am Friday at Holy Child Parish, St. Teresa's RC Church, Runnemede.


Interment in the Veterans section of Harleigh Cemetery, Camden.


Family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made in Mr. Mike's memory to the American Cancer Society, 1851 Old Cuthbert Rd., Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
