Joseph Michael Lederer, 78, of Wichita Falls, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2017.
Joseph was born on September 24, 1938 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Joseph Miles and Elsie (Weaver) Lederer. He served our country proudly in the United States Air Force, retiring as MSgt. After retirement from the Air Force, Joseph went to work for PPG Industries, retiring many years later. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Joan Regina Lederer in 2005; his daughter, Diana E. Wellman in 2015; his sister, Kathleen Mehan; and a great-grandson, Braydon Roseberry.
He is survived by his children, Joan V. Ridgway and Thomas White of Raphine, Virginia, Barbara A. Beason of Pampa, Texas, Michael E. Lederer and wife Alice of Grayson, Kentucky, Elizabeth A. McAlhany and husband Tom of Midlothian, Virginia, and Regina L. Henderson and husband Greg of Petrolia, Texas; son-in-law, Mike Wellman; his brothers and sisters, Pat Brett and husband Sonny of Fairborn, Ohio, Theresa Clark of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Sue Wible and husband Bill of Denver, Pennsylvania, Miles Lederer and wife Lori of Atco, New Jersey, Thomas Lederer of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Barbara Dickinson and husband Paul of Bend, Oregon, Tony Lederer and wife Becky of Sacramento, California, and Marie Sacco of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The family will receive friends from 10:00am until 12:00 noon Friday at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE.
Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Berlin.
