Harry Kirby Rice, Jr.
July 9, 1947 - April 20, 2012

Harry Kirby Rice, Jr., retired Lt. Colonel, on April 20, 2012 of Sparks, NV, formerly of Runnemede, NJ. Age 64.


Loving son of the late Harry and Emma Rice and survived by his "Mom" Virginia Rice. Beloved husband of Constance (nee Grothe). Devoted father of Kathy Santino, Kirby III (Melissa), Nicole Dalluge (Casey), Christy Horgan (Ben) and Jason Denton (Cristy). Dear brother of Dennis (Evelyn). Loving grandfather of Riley, Logan, Isabel, Trevor, Kirby IV, Cole and Keagan.


Mr. Rice was a member of the first graduating class of St. Teresa's School. He retired from the Army as a Lt. Colonel after 22 years of service. Mr. Rice also worked for Northrop Grumman and retired after 20 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 371 in Gibbsboro. He enjoyed playing golf, but his children and grandchildren were the center of his life.


There will be visitation Wednesday evening from 6 to 8pm at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE.


Memorial Service 8pm at the funeral home.


Mr. Rice's final resting place will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia.
