August 9, 1949 - April 6, 2014

Andrew J. Martinac, Jr., suddenly, on April 6, 2014, of Westville, formerly of Runnemede. Age 64.

Andy suffered from heart failure and cancer.

He was and still is loved by many, especially his wife of 36 years Rose (nee Connor). Devoted father of Ryan Martinac, Richard Rafferty, Ronald Rafferty, Rose Marie Rafferty and the late Janine Rafferty Knopp. Loving grandfather of Skye Martinac, William Beckett, Alacee Beckett Friars, John B. Redrow, Jackie, Jessica and Joshua Smith and Nicki Rafferty. Dear brother of Marie West, Joan Welch, Josie Wilson and Joseph Martinac.

Also survived by many nieces and nephews and his beloved dogs Sapphire and Ruby Tuesday, whom he called “Daddy’s Girls”.

Andy was an Army veteran of Vietnam and a member of American Legion Post #133, Woodbury.

Andy worked for Beaverbrook Motors for almost 40 years, never taking time off for himself. He was most recently employed by Reihls Towing. He loved his job and the people he worked with.  He was a kind, witty and loving family man who never let anyone down.

There will be a viewing from 7 to 9pm Friday eve and 11am to 12 noon Saturday at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE.

Funeral Service 12 noon Saturday at the funeral home.
Interment Harleigh Cemetery, Camden.

Family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made in Andy’s memory to the Animal Welfare Assoc., 509 Centennial Blvd., Voorhees, NJ 08043 and to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Rd., Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
