George Simmerman, on December 1, 2013, of Blackwood, formerly of Millville. Age 71.
Beloved husband of 7 years of Mary Madonna-Simmerman. Devoted father of George Simmerman, Jr. (Christine), Steven H. Simmerman (Claire Barber) and Neal L. Blumberg (Mackinley). Loving Pop Pop of George Simmerman, III "Cody" (Kayla). Great grandfather of Madalynn. Dear brother of Dorothy Stolar (Fred), Jane Henry (Skip Stranaghan) and the late Richard Simmerman. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Simmerman proudly served and retired from the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Era. He retired from Wheaton Glass after 20 years.
There will be a viewing from 7 to 9pm Wednesday eve and 9:30 to 10:30am Thursday morning at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, BELLMAWR, 200 S. Black Horse Pike, Bellmawr, NJ 08031.
Graveside Service 11:45am Thursday at Arlington Cemetery, 1620 Cove Rd., Pennsauken, NJ 08110.
Family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made in Mr. Simmerman's memory to the Vietnam Veterans of America, 103 N. Bishop Ave., Clifton Hts., PA 19018 or to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 528B Fellowship Rd., Mt. Laurel, NJ 08054.
