Janet Elizabeth Maglio (nee Benson), of Blackwood, NJ on February 9, 2016. Age 72.
Devoted mother and best friend of Nicole Palena (Karl Miller). Adoring grandmom of Marissa and Joseph Palena, Jr. Beloved sister of June Gautieri (John) and the late David Benson. Dear aunt of Dana Bean (James) and Gina Gautieri (Patrick) and great aunt of Nicky, Joey, Madison, and Jamie.
Janet grew up in Delaware County where she modeled and competed in pageants in the early 1960's. In 1970 she moved to Blackwood, NJ and remained in the same home until the day of her death. Janet retired in 2008 from Barry Callebaut in Pennsauken after 27 years. There she established friendships that lasted throughout her life. Retirement allowed Janet to go on many trips with her sister Junie and spend time with her daughter and grandkids.
There will be a visitation from 7 to 9pm Monday eve and from 9 to 10am Tuesday morning at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE.
Funeral service 10am Tuesday at the funeral home.
Interment Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA.
