In loving memory of

Elizabeth E. Szafranski
January 27, 1945 - February 27, 2020

Our beloved Elizabeth passed away on February 27, 2020 at the age of 75. She was a courageous and fun-loving individual who always enjoyed life to its fullest. Elizabeth had the unique ability to touch the lives of everyone she came into contact with in a very special and personal way. That was Elizabeth.

A coal miner's daughter from West Virginia, she eventually married USAF Sgt Casimer Szafranski and moved to Hickam AFB, Hawaii. There she served with the USAF as a civil servant. In 1976 Elizabeth and Casimer moved to Scottsdale, Arizona where she became a legal secretary for the firms of Quarles & Brady, Meyer Hendricks & Biven and Snell & Wilmer.

Elizabeth enjoyed traveling abroad with her many girlfriends, and of course living the lifestyle of Scottsdale, Arizona. Every day was a day that Elizabeth loved with her friends and family.

She is survived by her two sons, David and Jason, daughter-in-law Janet; and her sister Brenda Dye. As well as thousands of individuals she personally touched during her lifetime. A celebration of life ceremony is planned in late April 2020.

"Liz was one of my best friends during the 16 years I lived in Phoenix. She was a joy to be around, always pleasant and had a heart of gold. We shared many memories from working together to finally retiring and just visiting whenever possible. I was so happy to have spent an entire afternoon with her just a few weeks before she passed away while I was there in AZ. She always told me when I was getting ready to leave how much she loved me and was grateful for our friendship. I love you to Liz, and will never forget you! I look at our last photo together often. Rest in peace my friend. "
