Marjorie Jane Lee
December 15, 1930 - March 20, 2020

Marjorie Jane Lee, age 89, of Columbia City, IN, passed away at 1:19 am on Friday March 20, 2020 at Majestic Care West, Fort Wayne. Born on December 15, 1930 in Oswego, NY, she was the daughter of Frank and Jane (Baker) Leroy.

Marjorie attended Austin High School in Elpaso,TX and graduated with the Class of 1949. She moved with her family to Indiana in 1955 and has resided in Columbia City since 1976. On March 3, 1975 Marjorie married Ernest S. Lee in Columbia City and was a lifelong homemaker. She was a member of Community Bible Church and attended New Hope Weslyan Church. She was also a former member of VFW, Eagles #1906, and American Legion Post #98 in Columbia City.

Survivors include her children Gloria Tremling of Terre Haute, Margie Jones of WA, Wendell "Bill" (Denise) Chaney Jr. and Jane Chaney, both of Columbia City, Michael (Phaedra) Chaney of Pierceton, Robert Chaney of Cromwell, Gene Chaney of Warsaw and Jan Imbody of Fort Wayne; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister Agnes Ellis of Odessa, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ernest Lee, brothers William and Frank Leroy, and great-grand-daughter Addisyn Voiles.

Due to CDC's large community gathering guidelines, a private funeral service will be held for Marjorie's immediate family. Arrangements by DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Memorial gifts may be given to her final expenses. Flowers may also be sent to the funeral home.
