In loving memory of

Charles E. Jerviss
March 20, 2020

Charles Edward Jerviss, Jr., 83, of Eyota, Minnesota, passed away Friday, March 20, 2020, at Whitewater Health Services.

Charles was born August 22, 1936, in Cresco, Iowa. After high school he joined the Air Force from 1954 to 1958. Thereafter he worked as a machinist at various companies until his retirement in 1999.

Charles enjoyed working on cars and fixing various things. In the week before his passing he wanted to buy a Jeep to put a new motor in it and fix up. He very much enjoyed seeing his great-grandson who he referred to as "that little guy." He also enjoyed spending time with his favorite canine friend, Cooper, curled up on his lap.

Charles is survived by his daughter, Christine Jerviss; son, Steven (Jenny Fitzgerald) Jerviss; granddaughter, Ashley Jerviss; grandson, Jamie Jerviss; great-grandson, Colton Brockway; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. We regret that Charles didn't live long enough to meet his new great-granddaughter. Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Marian Jerviss; his parents, Charles and Naida; his sisters, Darlene Enderson and Dorothy Gustine; and his brothers Stanley Jerviss and Thomas Jerviss.

A special thank you to Tamme Tubbs who was dad's companion for several months at home, Sara Jacobsen from Mayo Clinic Palliative Medicine, Dr. Marvin Vaughn of Mayo Clinic Community Internal Medicine, Dr. Rodolfo Savica of Mayo Clinic Neurology, Megan and Rebekah of Seasons Hospice, and the staff at Whitewater Health Services who cared for him in his final days.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 12, 2020 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes 5421 Royal Place NW Rochester, MN 55901. Visitation will be Thursday, June 11, 2020 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
