ILLINOIS CITY, Illinois - Tammie Elizabeth Cole, 61, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at Premier Estates.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Andalusia Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.wittichfuneralhome.com.

Tammie was born on January 28, 1959, at St. Anthony's Hospital, Rock Island, Illinois the daughter of James Ray and June Ann Hall Cole.

Tammie graduated from Rockridge High School, Taylor Ridge, Illinois, class of 1977. She retired from Alsteel. Tammie enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and baking. She loved her family and especially loved spoiling her nieces and great nieces and nephews. Tammie will be greatly missed.

The family would like to thank the nurses who took care of Tammie in her last moments at Premier Estates, as well as the care she received from her hospice nurse Sharise and Chaplain Don from Hospice Compassus. It made her journey more peaceful and comfortable.

Those left to honor her memory include her three brothers, James Cole of Jackson's Gap, AL, Rick Cole and his wife, Kimberlee Jo, of Illinois City, IL, and Steve Cole and his wife, Sue, of Milan, IL; one sister, Debra Barber and her husband, Tony, of Illinois City; seven nieces, Lisa Cole, Lacy Cole, Melanie Miller, Kayla Hollins, Allison Eagle, Taylor Starkweather, and Kylee Rumley; and several great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
