Esther Marie Sharratt
February 20, 1924 - March 20, 2020

Esther Marie Sharratt stepped into heaven on March 20, 2020, at the age of 96. She was born in 1924 in Marquette, Michigan to Victor and Marion Larson and grew up on a 200-acre farm. After college she taught in a one-room school house in West Branch, MI. In 1945 she married Virgil Sharratt who she met at a Bible Camp where he worked as a lifeguard. He served six years in the Navy during WWII, and they moved to many different cities, eventually settling in Seattle where they raised their four daughters. They built their own home and had a small farm. She enjoyed all things outdoors: animals, riding horses, hiking in the mountains, gardening and leading a 4-H Club. As a longtime member of Gatewood Baptist Church, Esther served in many roles such as children's ministries and missions. In 1981, she joined Grace Church. Most of all, she loved her Lord Jesus Christ and that was demonstrated throughout her life. Esther was preceded in death by her husband Virgil, in 2005. She is survived by her daughters, Mary, Colleen (Ron), Joan (Vern), and Shirley (Scott-deceased), as well as four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. We all dearly miss her but rejoice that we will be reunited in heaven for eternity.

A celebration of her life will be scheduled at a future time at Grace Church in Seattle.
