Barbara Kotzin wrote on Apr 16, 2020:

"Barbara Kotzin I was fortunate to have had an appointment with Dr. Finelli shortly before she closed her office. She was the only dermatologist I ever used, and I appreciated her no-nonsense approach, candor and expertise. She always greeted me with a smile and a "Hiya, Toots". We'd discuss the reason for my visit, and she'd open her magic drawer which was filled with a gazillion tubes of various creams, etc. She'd pick out what she wanted me to have, explain how to mix everything together, and put it all in a plastic baggie. When I asked how much to use, her standard reply was "A little dab'll do ya." We laughed about that Brill Cream ad many times. She was a special person and I was privileged to have known her. She will be sorely missed."

"Oh how Ioved Dr. Finelli! She had such grace and poise...ever knowledgeable. But better than her doctoring skills was her personal touch. I was a patient of hers for 20 years. We grew so close that when she heard I had been laid off from my job, she not only took care of me non-grata but she offered me a job in her office until I found something else. She was a tremendous blessing! How I used to love seeing her face glow when she showed me the newest picture her children had drawn...and lately, how handsome her Bryce was. She's in my prayers as are all of her family. God bless you all! Sandy Pflanz"

"Years ago, I was referred to Dr. Finelli by a college classmate and longtime friend of hers. My initial impression was that Dr. Finelli was caring, thorough and highly competent (and a really stylish dresser). She didn't disappoint! During one long stretch (7 years), I had no health insurance after leaving my full time job to become the primary caregiver for my mom. I wasn't sure if I could afford to continue to get my necessary annual checkups (and more) during this difficult time. Dr. Finelli assured me it was not an issue and simply charged me the same copay amount as if I still had my health insurance. This was a significant reduction to the actual bill and clearly a financial loss for her practice. Her kind gesture speaks volumes about her character and generosity. And by the way, she ALWAYS inquired about my mom's health and wellbeing and offered sincere sympathy when my mom died. I am forever grateful! Dr. Finelli's death is a loss for so many: her loving family, her loyal staff, her dear friends and her many grateful patients. She will be missed."

"It hurt our hearts to hear of Dr, Fiinelli?s passing. We were patients of hers for many years. She was always caring and always took an extra minute to chat. I always loved the pictures her children drew when they were young decorating the walls. She was also a customer of ours, so we got to see her outside of the office. RIP, you will be missed by many. "Today I posted Dr. Finelli's obit on my FB page and wrote this: This obit just makes me weep today. Dr. Finelli was my dermatologist for many years. She exuded compassion and empathy. She was the consummate personal. About 6 months ago her office called and said the practice was closing as of that very day. I knew it was something serious but prayed it would be manageable. Clearly It was not. Godspeed to you, known only to me as Dr. Finelli. Embrace with your sweet tendencies the many souls who are joining you these days on the other side as you comforted me when Ron left so suddenly."

I will always remember your sense of humor, selflessness, and smarts. A so called triple threat. You'll be terribly missed. My condolences to Dan and your kids, Joan, and the rest of your family."

My husband and daughter were also her patients. We are so sorry to hear of her untimely passing. The world has lost a great person. Prayers go out to her family. She will be missed by so many."

"Lorrie was one of the kindest, true and loyal of friends. She was a tough chick and a role model for women. I loved that her artwork in her office was her kid?s drawings?-that said a lot about her as a proud mother. My family and I will forever miss her. Thank you Lorrie for taking care of us. Our prayers are with her family. "

"Dr. Finelli has treated myself and my children for over 15 years. She was simply the BEST. She was caring and smart and so knowledgeable and just about the best doctor I've ever had contact with. She was always proud of her family and always remembered mine whenever I saw her. Normally taking kids to a doctor is a chore but when they'd ask who we were seeing -- as soon as I said it was Dr. Finelli -- everything was great because they loved her! She will truly be missed and our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this very sad time. "

"God speed my dear friend. The beautiful memories will sustain us all. You were such a character. All of us that played with you will never forget how you cheered for yourself when you made a foul shot. Free throws may have not been your strong point but I wouldn't put anybody other than you at mid court during a full court press. 9 out of 10 times you read it and stole the ball. As Mary Beth wrote, your oatmeal facials, eating dried fruit before it was even popular, the infamous powder fight in Lourdes, etc. Your smile and presence would light up the room. The world is now a little less bright. "May flights of angels sing thee to thy rest". You are now at peace my special friend"
