Oldest of 5 children of Rubin "Honest Joe" and Bess Goldstein. Brothers Leon and Eddie Goldstein (pre deceased) and surviving sisters, Evelyn Goldstein Stone and Sharon Goldstein Stern. Born in Dallas' Florence Nightingale Hospital, graduated from Forest Avenue High School. Married Marvin L. Levin on June 3, 1956, enjoyed almost 64 years of marriage. Children Lisa Levin Edwards, Laurel Levin, Michael Levin. Grand children Kelsey Edwards, Blake Edwards, Zachary Edwards, Amanda Edwards, Kendall Levin. Great grand daughter Stella Edwards called her "grandma jellybean".
Shirley attended the University of Texas and SMU, and received her JD from SMU in 1969. A member of the State Bar of Texas and admitted for practice before the United States Supreme Court. She practiced law for over 50 years in partnership with Marvin.
Shirley was safe at home with her loving husband, "Bubba" , virus free, and planning a family Zoom Passover Seder.
