In loving memory of

Patricia Bohn
May 2, 1953 - April 2, 2020

Because of COVID the church is limiting attendance to memorials services to immediate family members only. For this reason we have decided to postpone Patti's Memorial Service until next year.

Mrs. Patricia "Patti" Bohn (Downing) died peacefully at Valley Medical Center Hospital on April 2, 2020 in Renton, Washington at the age of 66.
Patti was born on May 2, 1953 in Seattle, Washington to Robert and Fran Downing and was the youngest of four children. Growing up she attended St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School and graduated from Kennedy Catholic High School in 1971. She later went to Highline College. She married Richard Bohn, in 1980 and had two children, Derek and Leslie. After divorcing Richard in 1997, Patti married Robert O. Schmidt on February 14, 2006.
Patti worked at The Bon Marché in the home decorating store and later moved to cosmetics at the Seattle store. In 2008, Patti, started a career in property management where her customer service skills propelled her to the top of her field. Patti was a loving, caring and supportive person who always enjoyed helping others. She took enormous delight as people attended the functions she helped organize.
Dear sweet Patti after 10 months of courageously fighting to recover from her initial stroke and facing one adversity after another is now at peace as she left to be with God. We will miss her beautiful smile that lights up her face and fills those who saw it with such warmth and joy; as one of her friends put it so eleqently:
"This world lost a truly angelic person and left a huge hole in her wake!"
Patti's beautiful life story will never end. Her memories are written in the hearts of all who knew her forever. Nothing can equal that precious gift she's has given each one of us.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. Survivors include a daughter and son and their spouses: Leslie and Andrew Munroe of Des Moines, Derek Bohn and Meghan Fosth of Everett; two brothers and their wives; Steve and Mary Downing and John and Dawn Downing ; a sister and brothers-in-law: Susan and Roger Hanson of Kent; six grandchildren.
Because of the Coronavirus; no funeral or reception is scheduled. All are welcome to remember and celebrate this truly angelic lady by observing a moment of silence on her birthday May 2 or by going to the website: https://www.gofundme.com and search for "Patti Needs Your Prayers and Support Renton" to read the full story of this truly amazing lady. Tributes

Annette Mentzer wrote on May 21, 2020:

"Whenever Patti and Robert showed up at the Tartan Day tent, Jim and I felt like the calvary had arrived. I could count on their knowledgable, unflappable and competent presence. Patti's guidance when we were new to clan tent hosting, and sharing her self-published guide, are things we rely on to this day. Her smile and warm presence will be sorely missed. Annette Mentzer "

"When I Must Leave You by Helen Steiner Rice When I must leave you For a little while- Please do not grieve And shed wild tears And hug your sorrow to you Through the years, But start out bravely With a gallant smile; And for my sake And for my name Live on and do All things the same, Feed not your lonliness On empty days, But fill each waking hour In useful ways, Reach out your hand In comfort and in cheer And I in turn will comfort you And hold you near; And never, never Be afraid to die For I am waiting for you in the sky!
