Celebration of Life Services For Mr. Anthony Michael Vana, age 72, of Monroe will be held at a later date.

Mr. Tony Vana passed from this life from the comfort of his home on Sunday Morning, April 12, 2020 after a brief illness. Tony was born in West Palm Beach, Florida on December 12, 1947 to the late Anton & Jean Dmytryk Vana. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and fly fisher, where he was one of the early layout boat hunters along with his partner Pete Ellis and crew. Tony was a 40 plus year bird hunter in Saskatchewan, Canada. He raised and hunted with Chesapeake Bay Retrievers for over 20 plus years, and loved carpentry, woodworking and hunted and fished all over the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Central America. Tony was a retired Police Lieutenant who worked in various districts and departments. One of the highlights was working in the Ports & Harbor Unit in Cleveland, OH. Besides that he ran one of the largest Task Forces in the U.S. in Cleveland, Ohio before his retirement and operated a 22 1/2 ft. Mako boat on the Great Lakes in his leisure time.

Tony leaves behind his loving wife of 50 years, Marlene DelPizzo Vana of Monroe, TN; sons, Brett Kenneth Vana of Monroe, TN, and Christopher Michael Vana of Cleveland, OH; grandchild, Peke Cheyenne Vana; brother, Kenneth Joseph Vana & wife Linda of Bay Village, OH; niece, Kerry & husband Andrew Dilyard; nephew, Benjamin & Ken Vana; great nephews, Caleb, and Micah Dilyard; great-niece, Emily Dilyard.

Mickey was preceded in death by his parents.
