Rufus Alexander Coleman Sr.
July 13, 1943 - April 23, 2020

Rufus Alexander Coleman Sr. (a.k.a Bebe) was born on July 13, 1943 in McAlester, Oklahoma and later moved to Omaha, NE in 1956 with his family. Rufus (age 57) began and ended his career working for Sperry Vickers plant as a machine operator before retiring after more than 40 years working.

He loved riding motorcycles, working on his cars- especially Fords & Cadillacs, playing softball, golf and tinkering. Rufus was not shy when it came to expressing his opinions or lecturing kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews on life lessons. He was preceded in death by his parents-Ishmeal Coleman Sr. & Ruby Coleman, Son-Rufus Alexander Coleman Jr., Sister Sharon K. Emsweller, father & mother in law- Francis Ebow Sr. Melba Ebow, brother in law-Carrol (Cal) Ebow, Francis (Joyce) Ebow Jr., sister in law-Norma Jean Abraham. He will leave behind his loving wife of 56 years, Zelmae Ebow-Coleman, three daughters Tonya L. Coleman, Tari (Micheal) Kent Sr., and Tamarian (Joseph) Del Conte. He had 7 grandkids- Uniquika & Gene Hollins, Michael Jr., Tristen, Treven, Domonique, and DonaVon and 14 great grandkids. He leaves brother behind Ishmeal (Kate) Coleman Jr., brother in law-Dave Emsweller, sisters in law-Gerri Ebow, Besse Ebow, a host of cousins, nieces & nephews.

We will remember his wittiness, love of the Golden Coral and saying, "Don't be sending me any customers"!

We love you Rufus/ Daddy / Uncle/ Brother /Friend and Husband until we meet again!

Open viewing Monday, April 27, 2020 from 9:00 A.M. - 7:00 P.M. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. A private family graveside will be held Tuesday, April 28 at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

In lieu of food and flowers due to COVID-19 gifts cards and monetary donations are welcomed but not required.

Services will begin streaming live at approximately 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 28. To view, please go to Forest Lawn Cemetery's Facebook page. It will be available live and then uploaded later in case you are unable to watch at 11:00 A.M.
