Wayne Mauer, 60, of Pacific Junction, passed away at his home on Sunday, April 26, 2020. There will be a celebration of life in memory of Wayne at his home (201 Mills Avenue, Pacific Junction) on Saturday May 2, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the family strongly encourage that you adhere to the CDC guidelines when making your decision to attend and to practice social distancing and other precautions while in attendance.) Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood is caring for Wayne and his family.
Wayne Allen Mauer, son of Dale and Theresa (Adams) Mauer, was born on July 8, 1959 in Osage, IA. On September 5, 1981 he married Vickie Combs. The couple was blessed with two children, Mike and Crystal.
Wayne enjoyed camping and fishing, tinkering around in his garage, and spending time with his family, especially with his grandson Hudson.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; and sister Geri Mullenbach.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Vickie; son, Mike Combs and wife Renee and their son, Hudson of Omaha, NE; daughter, Crystal Smith and her husband, Christopher of Omaha, NE; siblings, Steve (Sandy) Mauer of Loveland, CO, Patricia (Craig) Farlinger of West Liberty, IA, Stanley Mauer of Stacyville, IA, Peg Mauer of Stacyville, Lisa (Carl) Farlinger of Mesa, AZ, Michelle (Paul) Halbach of Stacyville, Pam (Jim) Brincks of Mason City, IA, and Shawn (Tammy) Mauer of Riceville, IA; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
