Fred Schweinebart
January 21, 1952 - May 1, 2020

Fred Schweinebart, 68, of Baxter, Iowa passed away on Friday, May 1, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. His funeral service will be held at Fredregill Funeral & Cremation Care (107 North Main St.) in Baxter on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. A private family burial will follow in Restland Cemetery in Baxter, Iowa.
Fred was born on January 21, 1952 in Des Moines, Iowa to Olen and Bessie (Miller) Schweinebart. He grew up in Baxter on the family farm and began farming with his dad and brothers at an early age. On June 26, 1969 he married the love of his live Teresa Milligan at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Baxter. Fred graduated from Baxter High School with the class of 1970. The couple moved to Baxter and began their family together. Fred began working at Maytag. He also continued farming with his brother's. In 2000, after 30 years of service Fred retired from Maytag. He and Teresa moved to the family farm. Fred was a member of the Local 997 Union. Fred loved spending time with his family, farming, working on equipment, mowing, puzzle books, eating out, and visiting the casinos.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Teresa Schweinebart of Baxter, Iowa; daughter Tracy Catron of Newton, Iowa; grandchildren Lindsay (Eric) Robles, Danielle (Dillon Schultz) Catron, and Haley Catron; great-grandchildren Rhyia, Leo, and Lilly; brother Jim (Patty) Schweinebart; special niece Wendy Beal; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents Olen and Bessie; in-laws Max and Ruby Milligan; and brother Ronnie Schweinebart.
