Thomas Novak
October 10, 1944 - May 2, 2020

Thomas D. Novak, of Pelican Lake, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2020, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was 75 years old. He was born on October 10, 1944, in Antigo, a son of the late Dan and Jeannie Novak. He married Susan Merrill on June 24, 1983.

Tom enjoyed being with people and spent the majority of life in the Bar and Restaurant Business until his retirement.

Tom enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and watching the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers. He was an avid country music fan. He enjoyed going to classic car shows and always dreamed of owning a 1959 Cadillac Convertible.

Tom is survived by his wife of 37 years, Susan; two sons, Michael (Julie) Novak of Jennings and Thomas "Rowdy" (Esther) Novak of Pelican Lake; a daughter, Pamela (Phillip) Matucheski of Antigo; four grandsons, Trevor and Hunter Novak of Jennings, Alex Novak of Rhinelander and Chase Novak of Pelican Lake; three granddaughters, Mackenzie Novak of Eau Claire, Jessica (fiancé Derek) Matucheski and Toni (Robert) Miller all of Antigo; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Jerome (Bonnie) Novak of Jennings; and nephews, Aaron, Ben, Wade, and Nick Novak.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Daniel and a nephew, Clint Novak.

Per Tom's request there will be no services. He will be laid to rest at the Elcho Cemetery at a later date.

"To Tom's family you have my sympathy, I grew up with the Novak family back when I was in high school,I ran with Danny back in those days but came to be a friend of with Tom I can remember a lot times Tom would say Come on let's take ride to Antigo ,had a lot of good times with him he will be missed .
