"My deepest sympathy to Mary Ellen Cleary family! Mary Ellen was such a great and loving person, she will truly be missed. I can remember when I Dog sit her and Aunt Margaret dogs in Detroit and once in Grosse Pointe. Also helping around the house and doing yard work for them. My heart is breaking for the family. Prayers are sent your way! "

"My deepest condolences to the family of Miss Cleary. She was one of my favorite teachers at LSHS. She made chemistry fun and her skill as a teacher helped to make a really difficult subject easier for me, and also many other students. She had a wonderful sense of humor, and was outrageous and colorful. As I remember her, she had respect for her students and treated us as adults. I still remember so many things from her class, including Avogadro's Number, which she made us memorize, and well it just stuck. Miss Cleary was an outstanding educator, and I am grateful to have known her. May she rest in peace."
