Shanna Renee Brown, 39, of Burlington died at 6:10 p.m. Monday, June 21, 2010, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Born October 13, 1970 in Fort Madison, she was the daughter of Denny Myers and Sharon Lee Peterson Orwick. On May 4, 1991 she married Matt Brown. They later divorced. She was engaged to be married to Mike Magorian at the time of her death.
Ms. Brown was a homemaker. She enjoyed races, shopping, listening to music and watching TV. She loved her boys and spending time with them and her family.
Survivors include her fiancé, Mike Magorian of Burlington; her two sons, Matt Brown and Bryant Brown, both of Burlington; one brother, Andrew (Staci) Myers of Burlington; two sisters, Kim (Jeff) Jarvis and Tamara (Kevin) Miller, both of Dallas City, Illinois; two step brothers, Mike (Jacki) Orwick of Blue Springs, Missouri and Bryan (Diana) Orwick of Independence, Missouri; and two step sisters, Cathy (Jeff) Keeler of Blue Springs and Patricia (Randy) Pierce of Lee's Summit, Missouri.
Her father, Denny Myers; mother, Sharon Orwick; and step father, Richard Orwick preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from noon until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 24th, in Lunning Chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
The graveside funeral service and interment for Ms. Brown will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 25th, in Aspen Grove Cemetery. The Rev. Dean Moberg will officiate.
A memorial has been established for the family.
