"To Auntie, Rose and Eric. There is no easy way to ease the pain of the loss of a parent. I experience this pain each and everyday. Although many years have passed, I still miss my daddy more and more each day. Please cherish the memories of him always. And also, please let me know if there is anything I can do for you. I can always lend a shoulder to lean on. My prayers are with you all. Continue to love your grandma, Eric and Rose. She needs you now more than ever. I love you all"

"To my Fannings family, this is Charles King, Jr. (Chuckie), cousin to Jimmy. I extend my heartfelt sympathy first to Aunt Mary Bessie, and to Rose and Eric. Jimmy will be missed. He was a great guy to talk history and sports with. The last time I saw him, he was flexing his history muscle, showing off his knowledge about WWII! He's gone too soon. If there is anything you all need of me, just ask. I love you."

"May God bless you and comfort you in the most hollowed portion of His Hands. I wish to remind you that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. May precious memories flood your soul in the stillness of the midnight and bring you a sense of great peace."

"To Auntie Mary Bessie, Eric, and Rose- I will always remember Jimm(Sweegie)as the funloving,
happy, and ready-set-go cousin who always came down from Detroit with enough energy to light up the Whole town of West Point. Together with Thomas, William, and Victor, its seems there was nothing they couldn't do. Lots of love to the entire family and prayers for a brighter tomorrow."
