In loving memory of

Susie Lee Hardin
May 24, 1934 - May 8, 2020

Susie Lee Hardin was born on May 24, 1934 in Campbellsville, KY to the late Charley and Harlean Davis. She completed and received her G.E.D. in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Susie married Erie James Hardin on August 30, 1963, they were lovingly united for 52 years before he preceded her in death.
Susie Lee worked as a dedicated Housekeeper and a loving Nanny to the Keller Family for 10 years. After marrying Erie "Louis" they became owners of 34th St. Louis Record Store, The Wash-tub Laundry, and Hardin's Service Station at 29th and Capital Ave. Truly this was their calling, bringing joy by way of music, helping families with free laundry, and helping people keep their vehicles on the road and always giving back to the community. Once she retired, she found a love for art and became an Art Consultant and dealer for Art Finds International, Inc., in which she truly enjoyed for 18 years.
She was sure to put God first and always worked selflessly in the church, being a faithful member at "Church of Christ" for over 25 years. She was very proud to have been an upstanding and longtime member of the Culturettes, an all-women's club in which she shared membership with her Aunt Mrs. Rosa Harding.
Susie is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Erie J. Hardin, brother, Charles Davis, sister Mary Williams and daughter Betty J. Mimms.
Susie leaves to cherish her memories, 3 step-children; Ms. Rita Lockhart, Mr. Eric James Hardin, Mr. Rodney Bargus, 6 brothers and sisters; Joe Davis, Rose Spencer, Ruth Davis, Ida Smith (Garfield), James Davis (Sarah), Marie Tardy, 6 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews who loved her dearly.
Susie had one special grandson, Daniel Tardy and one special great-grandson, Lyran Tardy, the only descendants of her only child, the late Betty Jean Mimms.

"My heart was sadden when I heard about Sue. I will cherish all the times she came to visit me, especially when I would host one of her Oil Painting gathering. When I look on my walls and see all the beautiful Paintings I have, I will think of Sue and her beautiful smile! My prayers are with the Family. May God Bless and comfort you always! Nora Haskins"
