In loving memory of

Jason N. Stewart
September 2, 1976 - May 18, 2020

Jason Stewart was adventurous, caring, loving and soft hearted. He was quiet and very trusting of others. Jason loved spending time with his friends, family and having get togethers with them all. Born at Lutheran Hospital on September 2, 1976 in Fort Wayne, he was one of the twin sons of Cheyenne Stewart and Janice (McCool) Osborn.

Jason would grow up living in South Whitley. As a boy, he loved being outdoors, playing in the woods and doing anything that involved going fast like 4-wheeling and go-karts. He enjoyed all sports and played basketball while attending Whitko High School and even held a 3-point record for the school for many years.

After graduating from Whitko High School with the Class of 1995, he and his twin brother Jeremiah decided to explore the Untied States and began traveling and working at various places across the country, including working construction after Hurricane Katrina wreaked havoc upon New Orleans. After moving to Florida he worked at various bars and he fell in love with the ocean. He loved being on the beach, going out on the boats and fishing. Jason did find relaxation by watching sports with family and friends and was an IU fan.

Unfortunately, Jason passed away all too soon, leaving behind many loving family and friends. Jason N. Stewart, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly Monday, May 18, 2020 at Parkview Regional Medical Center at the age of 43. He is survived by his brothers, Jeremiah (Meghan) Stewart, Jake (Jordan) Osborn, Cody Osborn, Doug Patton and Steven Patton; mom, Barbara Stewart, biological mother, Janice Osborn; grandmother, Alice Stewart; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Cheyenne Stewart; and grandparents, Eugene "Whitey" and Pat Stewart, Colie and Edna McCool; and a nephew, Christopher Patton.

A gathering of family and friends will be 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Appropriate social distancing guidelines will be followed. A private funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday for his family.
