"In the early 1960's Florence came to be with our family as a home caretaker and continued until we left the 16th Street neighborhood in 1974. She became a part of our family and we all have wonderful memories of her. She was a loyal, faithful friend and loving force in our family. She was dependable and always shy and I and our children remember her with Love.I deeply regret that I did not follow her life after we moved and was happy to discover that she had found her family and had Orville . If anyone ever deserved to be in heaven she does. "

Florence Hazel Wage, 92 went to be with Jesus Thursday May 28 at Acura Healthcare of Marshalltown. Graveside services will be Thursday June 4 1:00 pm at Iowa River Church of the Brethern 2013 Wallace Ave. Marshalltown. Online condolences may be sent to www.andersonfhs.com
Born July 18, 1927 to Charles and Mable (Noyes) Wage. She received her education in Marshalltown and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Florence had an exceptional work ethic cleaning homes for many Marshalltown Families. In her spare time she loved to paint, take care of her cat who waited in the window for her return everyday. Florence loved the water, boat trip and cruises with her special friend Orville Clayton.
Florence will be missed by her family that found her later in life. She was so grateful they were able to enjoy time together. Twins Charlen (Don) Appel, Henry, IL, Sherman (Nacy) Wage, Metamora, IL, Karen Wage of East Peoria, IL and many cousins, nieces & nephews.
