"....to continue on with the ending what happened after unknowingly shooting myself in my middle finger with the nail gun while rebuilding Denny's mother's front porch, was due to the nail gun bouncing back off the dried rotted rafters. When I turn to show my finger to Denny, he turn white as. ghost and told him to sit down, before he fell off. I though briefly as to what I was gonna do. After all, I had never been in such a predicament before. Fortunately, I had gloves on. So, neither of us had to look at any flesh with a nail portruding through it. Then, I The best part was when I asked him how to get this 5 inch long nail out of my finger... It was on his second or third attempt that he he did pull it out of my finger with a pliers. By which time, he was a shade of white I had never existed... GOD BLESS YOU ALL"

" My sincere condolences to all of the Magennis families in their moment of loss. According to his obituary, he was a very private person, he kept to himself. I, too, keep to myself. Perhaps, that's why it took such a long time to get to know Denny, even seeing him after work every day for three years at his favorite "watering hole." I guess I got to know him when I roofed, not only his house, but his mother's house as well. In fact, one of the most hilarious moments that I will always cherish are of me and Denny replacing rotted roof trusses on his mother's front porch. I was using a nail gun and the nail gun bounced back and shot the nail through my middle finger. Just under the finger nail through the fatty tissue of the finger which is used world wide for conveying displeasure... I didn't feel any pain. I did, however, find humor. So, I yelled at Denny, ""Hey, look !" as I held my hand up giving him the finger with a 16 penny nail going through it as if to form a cross. I have fond memories that irrigate from Denny. Your loss is felt."
