MUSCATINE, Iowa - Debb LaRue Frye (Purple Debb), 63, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2020, at her home.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 13th, 2020, at the Riverview Center. Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements. Debra was born on March 10, 1956, in Muscatine, the daughter of Don and Beverly Schlotfelt LaRue Sr. She first married Mike Frye. Debra then married Dick Schumacher. She loved playing Bingo and going to yard sales. Debra was an advocate for Narcotics Anonymous (NA). In her free time she enjoyed giving her son quarters for bowling strikes.
Those left to honor her memory include her son, Shawn Frye of Muscatine; one brother, Donald LaRue Jr. and his wife, Kay, of Muscatine; two sisters, Michelle Aldridge and her husband, Charlie, of New Boston, Illinois, and Kay Paetz and her partner, Ray Smith, of Muscatine; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly LaRue Billingsley; brother-in-law, Bill (Booper) Paetz; step-mother, Fran LaRue; step-dad, Ellis Billingsley; a brother Jay LaRue; and her grandpets, Maggie, Homer, and Mouse.
