Life Reflections

On November 3rd, 1951 in South Bend, Indiana a son was born to Mr. Everett and Mrs. Elsie Lee Williams. They lovingly named him Andrew although, he was affectionally known as Lee. He was one of six children. As a youth in South Bend, Lee accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at Grace Zion AME Church.

As a youth in South Bend, Lee attended public schools Oliver Elementary and Stuberbaker Middle School, before graduating from Riley High School.

Lee was a kind soul that would give you the shirt off his back. He moved to Houston at the age of 23 where he met and married Shirley Faye Love in 1979. To this union one child was born.

He was employed as tucker driver with JB Hunt for many years before he began working as an independent Carpenter Contractor later in life.

Lee is preceded in death by both parents, Everett and Elsie Williams; two brothers, Dellie Johnson and Everett Williams, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of 41 years, Shirley Williams. His children, Angelo Williams, Consuela Williams, Angela Williams, Andrea Higginbotham of South Bend, Indiana, Marcus Williams (Alesha), and stepdaughter LaShunda Fowlks (Jason) of Houston, Texas. Siblings, Elsie Lena Taylor (Leonard) of Ozan, Arkansas, Nelda Jean Brown-Clay (Henry) and Robert Williams of South Bend, Indiana. Aunts Etta Jean Johnson of Illinois, Diatra Stern of California, Lisa Holley, and Connie Smith both of South Bend, Indiana, fourteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
