Ila J. Wagner
July 13, 1934 - June 10, 2020

Ila Joyce (Sheckler) Wagner, 85, of Brimfield, died on Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at her residence, surrounded by her family.
Ila was born on July 13, 1934, in Hanna City to Everett Sheckler and Mary (Swadinsky) Sheckler. She married her husband of 58 years, George Henry Wagner, on January 4, 1953. He preceded her in death on June 21, 2011. Also preceding her in death was one daughter, Denise Rae Greene on July 5, 1983, along with eight brothers; Kenneth, Fred, John F., Robert, Herman, Earl, James, and Larry; and two sisters, Ethel Ivey and Carole Sheckler.
Surviving are four sons, Bruce (Wanda), Keith (Diana), George Edward, and James (Kelley); two daughters, Brenda (Garry) Graham and Jana Keyes (Tony Nieukirk); 16 grandchildren: and 22 great-grandchildren.
Ila was a longtime member and former Trustee of the Union Church in Brimfield. She was very active in the church and greatly enjoyed her friends and followers of Christ.
She loved her family and friends deeply, and her humor and laughter will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
The family wishes to extend a very special thank you to her friend and caregiver Linda, along with Dr. Barry Miller and her hospice team Camilla, Angie, and Vicky.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date at the Brimfield Township Cemetery.
