Betty Aronowitz
December 12, 1935 - June 14, 2020

Betty Aronowitz (1935 - 2020) born in Houston, Texas to Morris and Sylvia Lichtenstein. Betty graduated from Jeff Davis High School in Houston, Texas. She worked at Houston Sash and Door after high school. In 1956 she met her husband Seymour and they married in 1958. They were married for 56 years. They had two children, Mark and Amy. While the kids were in school, she took a job at Jewish Family Service. After her children grew up, Betty took classes to improve her skills. This led to a job at South Texas School of Law where she worked until retirement.
She enjoyed their cruises to Hawaii and Alaska. She loved going to Saturday morning services at Beth Yeshurun, having dinner with their friends and going for morning coffee at La Madeleine, and enjoyed going to the symphony and the Alley Theater. Her family was very important to her, and she enjoyed being with her children on their family outings.
After her husbands passing in 2015, she moved to Atlanta, Ga where she lived with her daughter Amy and her family until her passing on June 14, 2020.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Morris and Sylvia Lichtenstein, her in-laws Harry and Yetta Aronowitz, her sister-in-laws, Roslyn Golden and Evon Aronowitz, her brother-in-law, Stanley Golden and her husband Seymour Aronowitz, all of blessed memory. She is survived by son Mark Aronowitz and wife Margie, daughter Amy Aronowitz Greene and husband Glenn, four grandchildren, Ashton and Noah Greene, Kaylee and Jackson Aronowitz, sisters Marion Lewis and Estelle Jucker, brother-in-law Marvin Aronowitz, and many cousins, nieces and one nephew and many friends.
