Dorothy Jean Washington
July 27, 1956 - June 15, 2020

Dorothy Jean Washington was born July 27, 1956 in Omaha, Nebraska to her parents Wilford Washington and Ruth Lawson. She was educated in the Omaha Public School System, graduating from Tech High School. Dorothy accepted Christ at an early age.
Dorothy worked at Richard Young, a child care center, and Oriental Trading Company. She truly enjoyed mentoring many children through her interaction with them on the bus at OPS. Dorothy loved her family and was intentional about spending time. She was passionate, funny, caring, fogiving, giving her last while going above and beyond for those she loved. She loved to cook and always would 'tell it like it is' because she was a straight shooter. She was the best grandmother in the world, making room for all of them individually.

Dorothy departed this life on Monday, June 15, 2020 in Omaha, Nebraska. "Dorothy was an awesome lady. I may have been your supervisor but most important we were friends! We shared some great adventures and laughs. I was privileged to drive her route for about 2 months in the winter if 2015. We had some stories driving in the snow, getting stuck and dragging a street cone down the road. Dorothy what a beautiful women of God you were. So glad we also shared our faith in God."
