"Kitty, as a Hospice nurse, helped care for my father, Vern Poppen, the last few weeks of his life. Our family will always appreciate her kindness during that time. I can still hear her say, "I got you, Papa," as she helped him. More recently, she was such a caring person to my mother at Westside Assisted Living in Clarksville. Kitty's kindness will be remembered by many."

"So many memories of Kitty from teenagers, 20's, 30's, 40's and our 50's. Singing in dive bars to finally praising our Faithful Father and bearing our souls and sins at the foot of the cross. Kitty, you were welcomed into those loving arms with your mom and dad waiting in the winds. I can only imagine your face when you witnessed those golden streets and the pure beauty of your heavenly home. However, down here, we suffer in sorrow, we cry in sadness and we weep in fear of living in a world without you. I pray your boys, your granddaughters, your friends and your family relish in your FAITH of Jesus! They find the peace that you found through surrendering to our almighty Father and know there is a final resting place that we will all gather together and Oh, What a Glorious Day That Will Be. Rest easy my friend. "Who loves ya baby? I love ya""

"Well i'll start and where to start is a challenge...kitty had the biggest kindest heart you could find, she took me in a few occasions when I was down on my luck and the memories that were made make me smile thinking of them. One thing kitty hated was storms lord that woman hated storms. Was living with her next thing I hear EM! EM! Run into her bedroom what Ma? Lay with me I'm scared with her contagious giggle lol I loved listening to her sing what a beautiful voice she was gifted with. Then you'd hear about her do da or her Yada baby as she'd say. She loved her boys with all her heart and all her adopted children that you wouldn't even be able to count. Everyone was her son or her sis. Loved going to church with her, the random drives and the phone calls when she'd meet you on the road. Lord knows I'm going to miss you Ma. .love you forever! "
