Travis Greiner
April 27, 1992 - June 28, 2020

KEOTA-Travis Greiner, age 28, of Keota, died Sunday, June 28, 2020 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
Travis was born April 27, 1992, in Iowa City, to Marvin and Deb (Clark) Greiner. He graduated from Keota High School in 2010, attended Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo and graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Agricultural Technology. Travis farmed, raised hogs and sheep and worked as a mechanic for Greiner Implement. He was a member of Holy Trinity Parish, the Knights of Columbus, 4-H, FFA and showed sheep all his life. A very hard worker, Travis was willing to help anyone who needed it. Farming was his life - he loved the land and was proud to be the next generation in a long line of farmers. He enjoyed hunting and hanging out with friends.
Survivors include his parents: Marvin and Deb Greiner; brother: Wesley and sister: Tenley, all of Keota; many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Everett and Mary Greiner, Curtis and Lucille Shipe and Clarence "Potsy" Clark.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 3, 2020, at Ss. Peter and Paul Church of Clear Creek, with Ann Lillis officiating. It will also be live streamed on the Powell Funeral Home Facebook page. Burial will be at Holy Trinity Cemeteries - Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church. Social distancing and use of masks are strongly encouraged.

A memorial fund has been established for a scholarship fund for future Agriculture students from Keota High School. Powell Funeral Home and Cremation service in Keota is caring for Travis and his family. Tributes may be made at www.powellfuneralhomes.com.
