Portsmouth, - John H. Budlong, 37, of 15 Hope Avenue Portsmouth, died Friday, March 28, 2003 at the home of his parents.He was the husband of Andrea B. Souza Budlong. Born in Newport, RI on February 14, 1966, he was the son of Richard E. and Ann M. Gonsalves Budlong of Newport.Mr. Budlong worked for several years for the Rainbow Cab Co. as a driver. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying camping, hiking and fishing. John also enjoyed riding his motorcycle. Besides his wife and parents he is survived by four sons Justin Pemental, John-John F. Pemental, Bryan A. Pemental and Richard E. Budlong all of Newport, RI, his step son Steven M. Botelho of Portsmouth, RI, two daughters Jessica Pemental and Marta A. Budlong both of Newport, RI, three step daughters Robin L. Botelho, Megan M. Senkus and Ashley A. Senkus all of Portsmouth, RI, four brothers Leon J. Budlong, Richard E. Budlong Jr., and Earnest R. Budlong all of Middletown, RI, and Timothy L. Budlong of Newport, RI, his granddaughter Kyondrah Pemental of Newport, RI and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was the grandfather of the late Jaleal Pemental, and the grandson of the late Clarence E. and Rose Monroe Budlong and Manuel and Bella Perry Gonsalves. His funeral will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2003, at 11:00 AM in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown. Donations in his memory may be made to the Viking Riders of Rhode Island, 171 Valley Road, Middletown, RI 02842.

"Febuary 26,2008 Dad, I now know that you are in peace and watching over me. I hope you see all the good things me, john-john, richard and justin are doing. And hopefully forgiving us for the bad that we did. Jessica is doing alright. Better than she was prevesly doing. Bryan, he isn't doing to good actually. He is now doing what you and john-john used to call fun. But i hope you can watch over him and make sure he doesn't do anything stupid. And just help watch over mom.
