Nelson and Rose Toppa Nelson.Mr. Nelson had attended St. Mary Grammar School and Rogers High School upon graduation he when to work at the Estate of Miss Doris Duke ? Rough Point ? from 1964-1975. He then became the Head Grounds Keeper for Harold C. Vanderbilt Estate ? Rock Cliff? from 1975- 1990 . Mr.Nelson then joined his brother in law as store Manager of ? Charles 5 10 on Broadway Newport until his illness . He enjoyed working aound the house in his gardens.. He is survived by Wife Helen Nelson of Newport, RI,; Daughter Melissa K. Nelson of Newport, RI,; Sister Lyn Just of Newport, RI,; Sister Lee Mathews of Newport, RI.
