"Dear Jenkins Family, I'd like to send along my condolences to you all. The last time I was home I stopped by Filmore St., and there was Alton standing in the doorway of his home. We talked about how things were and how they use to be. Loretta came out on her way to work and joined the conversation. That was the last time I was in Newport, and the last time I'll see Alton.
