"Mrs. D., Girls, and Family, Please accept my sincere sympathy during this difficult time. I just today returned from a trip and heard about your loss. Having lost my own Dad, I know that there are no words to console any of you. I can only tell you that what helped me and my sisters and Mom was simply each other. I know how close and loving your family is and so many times when all of you came into Chili's I would just stare at your beautiful family and reminess about when my Dad was alive and we were all together with all the grandkids - it was crazy and wonderful all at the same time. It will be the memories that will some day help you to heal. Dr. D. was a family man and greatly and passionately loved all of you so very much. Only faith and love for each other will help - a little more each day. I will pray for all of you and for strength and courage for your family. I speak of my Dad every single day to my daughter and it somehow keeps his memory alive and close to our hearts. I know first hand, the confusion for the grandkids and trying to make them understand. They know how much they were loved by Dr. D. and that is what they will always remember and carry with them. You were all so cherished and so loved my this wonderful man! I feel honored to have known and worked for him and I will miss seeing him. In closing, I wish with all of my heart that there was a way to erase all of the pain. MAY GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU AND YOUR CHILDREN. Sincerely, Linda Gouveia"

"Dear Mrs. Davidson & Family, All of us in our family are so saddened to hear about the loss of Dr. Davidson. As patients of his, he always took the time to talk with each of us, whether it was softball with my daughters, being a veteran with my husband, or basketball/baseball/football with my 9 year old son. My son has taken this sad news especially hard. He truly loved his dentist! So much so, that on one visit he had two cavities to be filled. He came out of Dr. D's chair and I asked him if he was ready to go. He said to me "I have to come back for the other tooth." I asked him why he didn't have them both filled. He replied to me, "Dr. Davidson and I only talked about the Celtics. I need to come back so we can talk about the Red Sox!". That's the kind of impact he had on our lives, and we will all miss him so much."
