Carol L. Cardoza, 38, of Chace Avenue, Tiverton, RI, died Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence.Born on May 2, 1969 in Newport, RI, she was the daughter of George L. Cardoza, Jr. and the late Patricia F. Carmen Cardoza.Carol enjoyed movies, music, dancing and working on cars with ?Gramps?.She is survived by her children, Samantha J. Clavette and Paula L. Miranda, both of Tiverton, and Richard E. Wordell, Jr. of Little Compton, two sisters, Karen A. Chafton and Christine M. Poe and her brother, George L. Cardoza, III, all of Tiverton, her niece Shea M. Poe and her nephew Claywell M. Chafton, III.She was the aunt of the late Jeffrey Poe.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2007, at 11:00 am in Old Stone Baptist Church, Stone Church Road, Tiverton, RI.Donations in her memory may be made to Forever Paws, 300 Lynwood Street, PO Box 9698, Fall River, MA

"There are no words to express my feelings at this loss. I was on the road in Maine when Carol died... I attended a spiritual event with the Wesget Sipu tribe of Fort Kent Maine as she was laid to rest. I did not yet know of her passing but I was welling up with tears all weekend. The crows and gulls circled the powwow... the sky cried at times. The sun shined upon me and dried the sky's tears, too. Now I know why the sky was crying and also drying the tears. God and Nature were crying at the passing of a beautiful free woman... who was now completely free... God and Nature dried the tears because they were glad she had come home to them."
