"Good morning, I realize this is so late, but while I was reviewing the last edition of the USS Elmer Montgomery?s FF-1082 newsletter that contained a list of former Montgomery sailors that had passed and realized that Frank was not listed, I went searching for his obit and found it. I will forward his obit website page to the editor for the USS Elmer Montgomery FF-1082 newsletter. I served with Frank while we were both on the USS Elmer Montgomery FF-1082, we were both assigned to M-division. Frank was onboard when I came aboard in the early 80?s. We served together for a couple of years on the Monty before Frank transferred, and we became good friends. I can?t remember if Frank went to the Engineering Mobile Training in Newport when he left the Monty, or if that came later. My career path and Frank?s crossed again while we were both serving at different locations on the COMNAVSURFLANT EMTT?s. Frank was in Newport, RI and I was in Mayport, FL. I was so happy when Frank was promoted to MMCM and became a peer of mine once again. I am so sorry for the entire family. - Deric M. Crosby, MMCM (USN Ret.)"

"I was stationed with Frank when he was onboard the USS Elmer Montgomery FF-1082. We just hit it off right from the beginning. I was a third class Machinist Mate in the Engine Room, Frank was the LPO of Auxiliary Machinery Room 1. We worked hard together and played had together, especially on the Med Cruise. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. I am proud to have called Frank, my friend."

"Julie, it's such a shame that you forgot to mention Frank's children in the obituary, and that you could not bother contacting them of his illness so they could have some foreclosure, instead you contacted them after the fact so the Will could be read.......hope you are proud of herself......"
