Pauline F. Trask Broad, 100, a resident of St. Clare Home in Newport, formerly of Pemberton Apartments in Jamestown, died Monday, August 27, 2007 at Newport Hospital.She was the wife of the late Eric O. Broad.Born in Spencer, MA on August 16, 1907 she was the daughter of the late Albert and Carrie Wiswell Trask. Mrs. Broad began working in the textile mill industry at the age of 14 and worked at various mills in the Woonsocket area. She and her husband Eric,retired to Jamestown in 1974.She is survived by her son, Donald J. Dupre of Jamestown, two grandsons, Michael B. Dupre of Jamestown, RI and Scott E. Dupre of Westerly, RI, two great-granddaughters, Monique Dupre of Fall River, MA and Jillian Carmichael of Vermont, and her extended family at St. Clare Home in Newport who provided such warm and loving care.She was the grandmother of the late Donald J. Dupre and the sister of the late Harry Trask.A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 17, 2007, at 11:00am in Cedar Cemetery, Cedar Lane, Jamestown, RI.In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made St. Clare Home, 309 Spring Street, Newport, RI 02840.Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.
