Middletown, RI - Robert W. Hall, 77, of 2 Bayview Park, Middletown, RI, formerly of Rhode Island Avenue, Newport, died Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at the V.A. Medical Center in Providence. He was the husband of the late Anna Margaret Tasker Hall. Born in Fall River, MA on Nov. 30, 1929, he was a son of the late William and Elsie F. Lewis Hall.Mr. Hall was a machinist for 30 years retiring in 1990 from General Electric in Newport. He was a member of the VFW Post 4487 in Middletown, where he served as an officer, chaplain and a bartender. He was a lifetime member of the Quahaug Chapter-NAFCA. He was an avid camper who loved working on motorcycles and scooters. He is survived by his son, Robert W. Hall, Jr. and his wife Maria of Londonderry, NH , his daughter, Carol A. Mosher and her husband Gerald of Goose Creek, SC, his brothers, Benjamin F. Lewis of Tiverton, RI, Donald L. Hall of Kenosha, WI, Wayne L. Hall of Aurora, CO, Frederick A. Hall of Fayetville, NC, and Paul W. Hall of Newport, RI, his sisters, Julia Holt of Tuscon, AZ, Jacqueline L. Bennett of Radcliff, KY, Myrtle A. Young of Montclair, CA, Alawyn M. Tapley of Varnville, SC, Carol J. Moore of North Charleston, SC, Brenda D. Dunbar of Tiverton, RI and Pearl D. Clifton of Newport, RI, his grandchildren, Robert L. Mosher II, Heather M. Mease, Melissa Martin, Laura A. Hall and Jeffrey R. Hall, and great-grandchildren, Joshua S. Martin and Madison H. Martin. His funeral service will be held on Monday, October 15, 2007 at 10:00 am in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Burial will be in Newport Memorial Park in Middletown.Calling hours will be held Sunday, October 14, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm in the funeral home.
