Denise Lynn Cyr Silvia Portsmouth, RI - Denise Lynn Cyr Silvia, 43, of 36 West Shore Road, Portsmouth, RI, died Sunday, January 6, 2008, at St. Annes Hospital, Fall River, MA. She was the wife of Manuel J. Silvia. Born in Boston, MA, on November 19, 1964, she was the daughter of the Richard Allen and Linda Purslow Cyr of Rochester, MA..Mrs. Silvia had worked as the bar manager for the Newport Yacht Club. She enjoyed dog training and equestrian as a young girl at Wildwood Estates in Dover, MA. She was a Graduate of Needham High School. Mrs. Silvia loved being a passenger with her husband on their Harley Davidson as they traveled New England. Mrs. Silvia loved flowers and was an avid flower gardener. She also enjoyed taking care of her dogs and training other dogs. Mrs. Silvia and her husband restored old farm tractors and had restored one on her own and had taken part in many parades. Besides her husband and parents she is survived by her dogs Betty Boop, Lucy, and Clifford, a step daughter Danielle A. Silvia of Maine, a brother Jake L. Cyr of Waltham, MA, and her nieces and nephews Emily Cyr, Abbie Cyr, and Luke Cyr all of Sylva, NC. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth.Burial will be in St. Columbas Cemetery in Middletown.Calling hours will be held Wednesday, January 9, 2008, from 5-8 p.m. in the funeral home.Memorial donations may be made to The Humane Society of the US, 2100 L Street NW, Washington, DC, 20037.
