"Oh dear Cris and Bob, my heart is broken with yours, filled with such sadness at the loss of your son. I only knew Bobby through you, but what a wonderful testimony of his loving family, and the job that you and Bob did as parents, as others praised the man his had become. Rest in that, and know that "God's Grace is sufficient" to bring you through even this. I love you both, and hug my Kimmy for me. Love, mikki"

"Dear Mr. & Mrs. Peideia and Family, I just found out today that Bobby had passed away. I am so sorry for your loss...Bobby was a truly special person, a wonderful moral man and someone to truly be proud of. The short time we were friends he had truly touched my heart and for our friendship I will always be grateful. One of the things I remember is that Bobby called me the night he delivered a baby at Newport Hospital...he was so happy to have had that experience. He was just such a wonderful, loving fun, family guy and this world needs more people in it like Bobby!!! May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand. Bobby, God Bless You and Your Family!!!"

"Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow; I am the diamond glints on the snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain; I am the gentle autumnâ??s rain. When you awaken, I am the morningâ??s hush. I am the swift uplifting rush. Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft star that shines at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry. I am not there; I did not die."

"I had the pleasure of working with Bob at C&M Marine, who during that time became a friend of mine. Bob was a very talented young man, he could fix anything, and on the old tugs we sailed on, he had plenty of oppurtunities to demonstrate his talent. But more importantly, he was a great person. Always considerate of others, always willing to help and teach others, extremely patient and a great "shipmate", he made my job as captain easier, and I looked forward to sailing with him every day. He was one of the best men I ever sailed with, and my family and I will miss him greatly."

"Chris, Bob, Kristy, Kim and Family, I am so sorry about your loss. Bobby is going to be missed by so many. He had a unique way of instantly bringing laughter and a smile to anyone he encountered. He truly touched my heart and I feel so Blessed to have met him. At times like this it is easy to question "why" even though I know we shouldn't. The thought or answer that makes sense to me is that God needed some life, laughter and excitement up in Heaven. He knew that Bobby could definitely bring that. I can picture Bobby telling his awesome jokes and "Portuguese Fireman-like" jokes and making all laugh and smile just as he did with us! Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers."
