"Dear Mrs. LaParle and Family, I heard about Paul's passing about a month ago. I was so sorry to hear the news. Paul and I go back to St. Mary's. The way Paul always smiled and never had a bad thing to say is what I remember most about him. In high school football games, Middletown vs Rogers, I remember walking out to center of the field before the game for the coin toss and there was Paul with this huge smile saying hello and good luck. His friendship never swayed. It put everything in perspective. Great guy who is truly missed! Sincerely, Joe Daidone"

"To the LaParle Family, I am so sorry in sharing condolences so long after Paul's passing. I have been attempting to track Paul down and finally tried on facebook. I never clicked on the obitutary as I couldn't imagine that he was gone. I knew and dated Paul at Bridewater. I am crushed that Paul has died and even more upset I didn't follow through with looking him up when I first thought to do so. I loved him very much and think of him often. Maybe he has met my daughter Jessica up in heaven....oh how I would like that. Be well and Paul will live in my heart forever!"

"I am an old friend of Paul's from when he was living in San Francisco. I am just learning of his passing now, and I cannot imagine this world without Paul's spark. In a short time, Paul became one of my most cherished friends. While we stayed in touch after he returned to RI, and he was generous enough to host me and my wife on our trip back east several years ago, we didn't talk nearly enough in recent years. But I knew we would never lose touch, and we would be friends for life. Paul was the genuine article, there was no pretense or artificiality about him. It is clear from all of the remembrances here that he had a profound impact on all of those he touched. I am proud to have called him my friend, and I will miss him terribly. Our belated condolences to Paul's wonderful family thanks for taking my call today, Gene, I'm sorry to have disturbed you. We love you, Paul."
