"I was shocked beyond belief when i heard this horrible news. I moved back to New York a few years ago and hadn't seen Herby in a couple of years, so i was unaware that he was even sick. Cancer is such a horrible disease, especially for taking such a great person from so many people. Herby dated my grandmother for most of my childhood and was also my godfather. The truth is that he was like a grandfather to me for so many years, the only grandfather I knew well. I appreciate the time that I did get to spend with him and the memories I will always have. I love you Herby, and I will miss you. Charles M. Harris"
